Marrakech and Peacock Pavilions: in the media and a little round up

Dear friends,

I've been trying to catch my breath because it's been busy around here at Peacock Pavilions.  So a little round up of some news and links:-)

Tiffany Kirchner Dixon, the photographer/writer behind the blog The Fancy Farm Girl did *such* a pretty post on Peacock Pavilions and her experience as a photographer for Where Women Cook and Where Women Create at the Decor8 retreat.  (Jo Packham, the Editor in Chief of these 2 magazines was also at Peacock Pavilions and is such an inspiring woman.)  While you are over at Tiffany's blog, check out these incredible glamour photos she did with a Casablanca feel.    If you live in or near Seattle, hire her for an unforgettable present for your husband or boyfriend for Christmas or Valentines Day.  Oh my.

I had already met Natalie, one of the participants in the Decor8 retreat before -- she's a Marrakech fan.  This girl is like a shining star, really.  Anyway, she did sweet little post on Peacock Pavilions.  Check it out on her blog, The Travel Stylist right here

Leigh, the talented (and semi-famous!) designer behind Curly Girl Design was also at the Decor8 retreat and did a gorgeous post on Peacock Pavilions with pics.  Thank you, Leigh!  See it right here on her blog.

I was very flattered that Shelter Pop did an interview with me with oodles of photos.  Super nice of writer Jaime of Design Milk fame.  Thanks Jaime!

Melissa of the darling blog The Lil Bee reached out to me to contribute to a piece she did for on Accessorizing with Metallics.  You can take a peek here.  Lots of great ideas and beautiful images.

And I shared a Christmas shopping tip in the fabulous holiday issue of Sweet Paul Magazine.  (Download right away - the whole issue is wowza.) See Paul's blog here.

The blog Expatify asked me to participate in a roundup of Expert Expat Tips.  See mine and others right here.  (Interesting!)

Lisa Corcoran's stylish travel blog, Travel Notebook, did a really comprehensive post on Peacock Pavilions and what it offers. Yippee!  Take a little look right here.  Thanks a million, Lisa!

Extra-smart Tunisian journalist Sarra Grira who works in Paris for France 24 TV Channel interviewed me about my experience in Cairo's Muqattam and with the Christian tattoo artist.  It's in Les Observateurs today!  Merci Sarra! See it here.

Last Monday, a French television show  that focuses on eco-friendly travel came and spent the night at Peacock Pavilions. Exciting.  The show will air sometime soon!

HGTV's International House Hunters aired this past week an episode about our journey to finding/building a home in Marrakech!  I haven't seen it myself (Hope it turned out okay!).

We have a big Australian magazine shoot this Friday and Saturday at Peacock Pavilions.  Gulp. Hope they like it! (Lot's of vacuuming and styling going on in preparation)

That's all I got! I hope good things are coming your way:-)

With love from Marrakech,
