How does the M.Montague Souk give back?

We know that you not only like beautiful things, but that you also care about making the world a better place. So with every purchase made, we give back to girls' empowerment organization, Project Soar. Here's how your purchases help -- for every product sold at the M.Montague Souk, we make the following direct cash donations:

$5 from every home and fashion accessory

$25 from every blanket

$50-$100 from every carpet

Beni Ourain Rug Colors:

Beni Ourain rugs are made of undyed sheep wool and thus are the natural color of the sheep.  Accordingly, these rugs are beige -- not white, ivory or egg shell.  Vintage Beni Ourains tend to be a darker beige, while newer rugs may be a slightly lighter beige. Some rugs may have a more golden or yellow cast to the beige.  In general, these rugs are predominantly a warm beige, as opposed to a cool beige.  Computer screens vary in terms of their color representation -- please take this into account when making your selection.   All sales are final.

Will my vintage item arrive clean? 

All vintage items are handwashed before sending.  You may wish to professionally clean, however.

How should I care for my carpet or blanket? 

We recommend spot cleaning with Woolite or similar product, Bleach should never be used.  Wool pile carpets should be vacuumed on a medium setting.  Boucharweit carpets may be washed in the gentle cycle of the washing machine.  Blankets may be dry cleaned and carpets professionally cleaned. 

Will you make custom rugs? 

Unfortunately, no.
